2027 Guardian Summer Intern, Corporate Finance & Risk – Investment Risk Management

What you will do

• Analyze investment portfolio exposures and risk metrics across fixed income, private credit, structured products, commercial real estate, and alternative investments.
• Support portfolio monitoring, risk reporting, stress testing, and scenario analysis for senior management and risk committees.
• Research financial markets, emerging risks, regulatory developments, and industry trends affecting insurance investment portfolios.
• Synthesize complex information into clear insights and ask analytical questions about data and facts.
• Learn about finance and risk functions while working with leaders, mentors, and colleagues across the organization.

Requirements

• Current junior expected to graduate in May 2028.
• Coursework or demonstrated interest in finance, investments, economics, accounting, statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, listening, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Experience with Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must be available for the full internship program from May 27 through August 6, 2027.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment-based sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python, data analytics, or generative AI tools.
• Interest in exploring multiple areas of Finance and Risk.
