Manufacturing Associate - Specialty Production

Location: USA - Portland, OR; work performed in Wilsonville, Oregon, in a controlled laboratory and cleanroom environment. Open shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, Wednesday–Friday, with alternating Saturdays.

What you will do

• Produce custom DNA, plasmid, and oligo pool products, including multiplexed gene fragments, gene pools, and clonal gene modifications.
• Perform reagent handling, chemistry, molecular biology, and analytical workflows in a highly automated, high-throughput laboratory.
• Manufacture, quality-control, and release DNA-based intermediates and products according to established SOPs and production timelines.
• Work with sensitive laboratory equipment and maintain accurate batch records and ticket documentation.
• At Associate II level, plan batches against the production forecast, coordinate instrument time, and triage process issues during the shift.
• Follow good manufacturing practices and safe work procedures in a cleanroom environment.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in a high-throughput, fast-paced laboratory or manufacturing environment.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field is desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Computer proficiency with Excel, Word, Atlassian tools, and the ability to learn new software quickly.
• High attention to detail, strong organization, and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to stand for long periods, work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials, lift up to 20 lbs, and work flexible or non-standard hours.
