Manufacturing Technician II - Inspection (Days) (Biotech)

What you will do

• Operate assigned automated inspection equipment, monitor equipment status, reintroduce materials, and maintain product flow.
• Perform visual, cosmetic, and physical inspections and escalate defects or concerns.
• Start up equipment, make minor adjustments, clear jams, troubleshoot, and perform cleaning-related assembly and disassembly.
• Complete line clearances, housekeeping, material transfers, inventory control, and SAP transactions.
• Complete batch records, GMP documentation, calculations, logs, and discrepancy reports.
• Support 5S, lean activities, process improvements, cross-training, and daily Tier 1 meetings.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a regulated manufacturing environment, with the ability to perform repetitive inspections accurately.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to interpret SOPs, batch records, and work instructions.
• Experience with documentation, data entry, batch records, logbooks, and basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to follow written procedures with minimal supervision and identify process or documentation inconsistencies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and use material handling equipment.
• Ability to work a 12-hour 2/2/3 schedule, including every other weekend, pass an onboarding eye exam, and meet physical and PPE requirements.

Nice to have

• High school, vocational school, or equivalent education.
• Inspection experience and at least one year in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or cGMP-regulated manufacturing.
• Knowledge of cGMP, GDP/GMP documentation, defect classification, SAP, Veeva Vault, Microsoft applications, or lean manufacturing.
