Field Deployment Lead for the US (Robotics): Leading installation, commissioning, acceptance testing, and operational handover for generalist robots at logistics and manufacturing customer sites with an accent on industrial automation, electro-mechanical troubleshooting, and deployment quality. Focus on building site runbooks, training operators, managing service partners, and maintaining operational continuity across multi-site deployments.

Location: Mountain View, United States. Remote start may be possible because of the travel schedule. Initial assignment includes an international rotation to Germany from October 2026 through January 2027.

Salary: $175,000–$250,000 annually plus equity.

Company

hirify.global develops generalist intelligent robots across the hardware, robot systems, infrastructure, foundation models, and manufacturing stack.

What you will do

  • Lead site preparation, robot installation, system integration, commissioning, and production ramp-up at logistics and manufacturing customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot robots and integrated industrial systems, including safety PLCs, sensors, conveyors, actuators, and wiring.
  • Lead Factory Acceptance Tests and Site Acceptance Tests, ensuring production readiness before handover.
  • Build operational runbooks, escalation procedures, maintenance schedules, spare-parts processes, and shift-handover standards.
  • Train contract operators, manage local service partners, and coordinate deployment dependencies with engineering and remote operations teams.
  • Capture field learnings, failure modes, edge cases, and near-misses for Application Engineering, Development Engineering, Customer Success, and remote support.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent industrial experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in industrial robotics, automation deployment, commissioning, or field engineering.
  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills with multimeters, oscilloscopes, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, actuators, and industrial wiring.
  • Experience with FAT/SAT processes and commissioning robotic or automation systems at industrial customer sites.
  • Linux command-line proficiency, ability to read Python and shell scripts, and basic Docker operations; ROS or ROS2 experience or willingness to learn ROS2 quickly.
  • Available to start in October 2026 or within a few weeks of an offer; must be able to travel internationally and work on-site for up to two weeks at a time.

Nice to have

  • Experience with US automotive OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, agricultural or heavy-equipment manufacturers, or logistics operators.
  • Knowledge of ANSI/RIA R15.06, ISO 10218, ISO/TS 15066, OSHA machine guarding, and lockout/tagout programs.
  • Experience with Flexiv Rizon arms, ZED cameras, comparable industrial robot platforms, teleoperated robots, or learning-based robot systems.
  • Experience training non-technical operators, managing contractors or service partners, and running multi-site operations.

Culture & Benefits

  • Full-time role with equity compensation.
  • Work closely with Application Engineering, Development Engineering, Remote Operations, Customer Success, and customer technical teams.
  • Transition from hands-on production ramp support to a supervisory, multi-site operations role as deployments mature.
  • Heavy international and domestic travel, including multi-week on-site blocks during production ramps.
