Senior Software Engineer II - Simulation Engineering (Aerospace)

Location: Littleton, Colorado, United States; based at the Littleton site

Base salary: $130,000–$170,000 USD annually, plus potential stock and cash incentives.

What you will do

• Architect and deploy large-scale distributed simulation environments for aerospace systems, including multi-vehicle and constellation-level models.
• Develop data pipelines to process, analyze, and visualize massive datasets from high-fidelity simulations.
• Perform statistical analysis and data modeling to derive engineering and mission-level insights.
• Optimize simulation infrastructure for high-performance computing and distributed cluster environments.
• Translate mission objectives into scalable simulation architectures and campaign-level requirements.
• Integrate complex simulation ecosystems and synchronize multiple subsystems and analytical tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, physics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of industry experience in large-scale simulation engineering, data analysis, or distributed computational modeling.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or similar languages used for data analysis and simulation infrastructure.
• Experience architecting and analyzing large-scale Monte Carlo campaigns and processing large datasets with modern analytics libraries or frameworks.
• Experience modeling complex, multi-component physical systems such as spacecraft constellations, multi-vehicle architectures, or robotics.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to program requirements; U.S. export-control authorization may also apply.

Nice to have

• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Experience with high-performance computing, parallel processing, distributed clusters, Docker Swarm, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with synchronized multi-vehicle simulations, advanced statistical analysis, data visualization, or optimization algorithms.
• Experience applying machine learning or AI to large-dataset analysis or simulation generation.
• Familiarity with cloud-based simulation platforms or large-scale data lakes.
