Senior Fullstack Developer (Healthcare)

Location: Manchester, UK; office attendance required two days per week

Salary: £60,000–£70,000 per annum, dependent on experience

A not-for-profit, NHS-contracted healthcare organisation coordinating and delivering NHS primary and community eye care through a network of local opticians.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain a greenfield healthcare application based on C# and .NET.
• Translate clinical and stakeholder needs into secure, scalable software solutions.
• Build and support integrations with NHS FHIR, e-RS, and third-party APIs.
• Write maintainable code and contribute to testing, debugging, code reviews, and production support.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and collaborate in an Agile team.
• Monitor healthcare technology trends and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• At least five years of commercial full-stack development experience.
• Strong experience designing and delivering cloud-hosted .NET services at scale, including architecture, performance tuning, and production operations.
• Deep proficiency in C# and modern .NET, including asynchronous programming, dependency injection, and maintainable code design.
• Strong React experience with hooks, state management, component architecture, and performance optimisation.
• Experience working with healthcare compliance standards, including GDPR, the Data Protection Act, and NHS information governance.
• Ability to work from the Manchester office two days per week.
