Medicines and Medical Devices Shortages Specialist (Pharmaceutical Supply Chain)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; relocation to the Netherlands is mandatory

Salary: €6,961.29 per month, including local weighting, based on a full-time 40-hour contract.

What you will do

• Coordinate implementation of hirify.global's legal mandate on the availability and security of supply of medicinal products and medical devices.
• Provide scientific and secretariat support to the MSSG, MDSSG, and associated working parties, groups, and subgroups.
• Support identification of critical medicines and evaluation of vulnerabilities across pharmaceutical supply chains.
• Manage, mitigate, and help prevent critical shortages, including shortages of centrally authorised medicinal products.
• Monitor and analyse shortage data and prepare scientific analyses, decision-making materials, and stakeholder communications.
• Contribute to implementation of new EU pharmaceutical legislation and innovative regulatory approaches.

Requirements

• University degree of at least three years in pharmacy, chemistry, biology, applied science, or an equivalent scientific or technical discipline.
• At least three years of relevant professional experience after obtaining the degree, including experience in pharmaceutical supply chains and manufacturing of medicinal products for human use and/or medical devices.
• Knowledge of EU regulatory requirements across the medicinal product and medical device lifecycle, from research and development through post-marketing.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end pharmaceutical supply chains, including raw materials, API production, intermediates, formulation, manufacturing, and packaging.
• Full rights as a citizen of an EU Member State, Iceland, Liechtenstein, or Norway are required.
• English at C1 level and another official EU language at B2 level are required.

• Experience working in a multicultural environment.
• Project management experience covering leadership, coordination, planning, implementation, evaluation, and timely delivery.
