Intermediate Developer (Backend)

Location: Remote within the United States or Canada. Travel for team offsites, meetings, and customer or industry events may be required.

Salary: $123,000–$172,000 USD annual base salary for US-based roles; $111,000–$155,000 CAD annual base salary for Canada-based roles.

What you will do

• Build and maintain enterprise features for multi-tenancy, linked accounts, policy management, and admin console experiences.
• Develop, test, debug, review, document, and support production software systems.
• Contribute to the transition from a monolithic application to a microservice architecture.
• Collaborate with authentication, authorization, insights, managed service provider, and other cross-functional teams.
• Design scalable solutions, contribute to architecture documentation, and break down and estimate project work.
• Participate in on-call rotation and mentor junior and new team members.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of software development experience.
• Experience with a modern backend language such as Go, Node, Ruby, or Python.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, coding standards, testing methodologies, and debugging techniques.
• Ability to solve moderately complex problems and communicate technical concepts to non-technical partners.
• Comfort working across multiple services and collaborating with other teams.
• Must be based in the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

• DevOps experience alongside application development.
• Experience with Kubernetes, infrastructure configuration, microservices, or distributed systems.
• Experience building frontends with TypeScript and React.
• Exposure to security, enterprise, or admin-focused products.
