Machinist

Location: Canton, Ohio; onsite at the Ohio Refining Division

Starting pay: $54.89 per hour, with a contractual pay increase on February 1, 2027.

What you will do

• Maintain refinery equipment through preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, vibration analysis, oil analysis, and condition-based monitoring.
• Repair, rebuild, and upgrade mechanical equipment according to specifications, standards, and technical drawings.
• Machine and fabricate parts to specified tolerances.
• Document repairs, modifications, and training accurately and on time.
• Work a 4-10 schedule from Monday through Thursday, with some weekend and holiday work required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Five or more years of experience as a Mechanical Technician in an industrial setting, including rotating equipment maintenance and five years of machining experience; or machinist trade school certification with at least 500 classroom hours plus five years of rotating equipment repair experience.
• Ability to learn complex refinery-related material.
• Physical ability to perform the essential job functions and compliance with a strict drug and alcohol policy.
• Successful completion of a preemployment written test, hands-on craft test, and physical examination.
