Field Claims Representative

Location: Pittsburgh, PA; candidates must reside in Clearfield, Blair, Cambria, or Centre County, Pennsylvania. Hybrid role involving field and on-site claim investigations. Must be able to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

What you will do

• Investigate claims, assemble facts, determine policy coverage, evaluate losses, and analyze legal liability.
• Handle multi-line property and casualty claims in an assigned territory, with an emphasis on property claims.
• Review insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to assess coverage.
• Resolve claims accurately and on time, including issuing correct claim payments.
• Conduct investigations by phone, mail, and on site.
• Attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials when necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent direct experience handling property and casualty claims.
• At least 3 years of experience handling multi-line property and casualty claims, especially property claims.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and manage multiple assignments.
• Ability to organize and interpret data, perform mathematical calculations, and understand personal and business finance documents.
• Valid driver’s license, ability to drive an automobile, and a driving record meeting company underwriting guidelines.
• Residence in Clearfield, Blair, Cambria, or Centre County, Pennsylvania, and authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship are required.

• Knowledge of Xactimate software.
