Care Manager, BH - Remote PA (Behavioral Health)

Location: Remote from Pennsylvania; Bethlehem, PA 18018

Salary: $64,285–$102,855 annually

What you will do

• Authorize and conduct concurrent utilization reviews for inpatient, outpatient, and other behavioral health levels of care.
• Provide telephone triage, crisis intervention, emergency authorizations, and member support for mental health and substance abuse needs.
• Analyze utilization data, assess medical necessity, and propose alternative treatment plans when needed.
• Coordinate discharge planning with providers and facilities and oversee implementation.
• Support quality improvement through data collection, tracking, analysis, and clinical interventions.
• Collaborate with Physician Advisors, community agencies, providers, and network development teams.

Requirements

• Current Pennsylvania or applicable state, Commonwealth, or customer-specific license required.
• One of the following credentials: CEAP, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LSW, or RN with the required degree.
• At least two years of post-degree experience in healthcare, behavioral health, psychiatric, or substance abuse care.
• Experience with inpatient and/or outpatient care, utilization management procedures, community resources, and providers.
• Knowledge of DSM-5 or the current diagnostic edition.
• Strong organization, time management, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience working with children and adolescents.
• Experience with Intensive Behavioral Health Services, BHRS, and/or ABA.
