Backend Developer (Python and JavaScript/TypeScript)

Location: Remote from Chile

Compensation: $45–$80 per hour; hourly rates are estimates based on anticipated project completion time.

What you will do

• Design and implement multi-file coding tasks covering bug fixes, feature development, refactoring, migrations, and testing.
• Write clear natural-language specifications and complete reference implementations.
• Develop and extend unit and integration test suites.
• Review peer-generated tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with expected outputs.
• Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.

Requirements

• Location: Chile; remote work.
• Advanced professional written English proficiency.
• 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, with working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go.
• Backend or full-stack production development experience, including testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.
• Ability to navigate and debug large multi-file codebases, conduct code reviews, refactor code, and execute production migrations.
