Consultant Data Engineer (AI)

Location: Antwerp, Belgium; onsite position

What you will do

• Design and manage cloud architectures across GCP, AWS, and Azure, including storage, compute, cost optimization, access management, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Containerize and orchestrate applications with Docker and Kubernetes, including clusters adapted to data science workloads.
• Develop Python tools, REST API servers, authentication features, and bulk data processing solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support deployment of data science projects at client sites.
• Develop ETL scripts and data pipelines in Big Data environments.
• Implement infrastructure and services that help data scientists train and serve machine learning models.

Requirements

• Master’s degree with a strong quantitative component, such as econometrics, physics, mathematics, statistics, or quantitative finance.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in data, DevOps, cloud, or software engineering.
• Strong Python skills, experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, and familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Experience or strong interest in cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Git, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience with application security, including certificate management, HTTPS, OAuth2 authentication, and credential management.
• Excellent English, Dutch, and French verbal and written skills are required.
