Materials Process Engineer I

What you will do

• Perform materials and processing analyses as part of Materials and Process Engineering responsibilities.
• Provide technical participation in internal and global engineering teams.
• Execute complex engineering tasks and communicate technical options to senior engineering staff.
• Support long-term, multi-site projects under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Propose and recommend process equipment solutions for operating groups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in the specialization, preferably involving steel heat treatment, carburizing, mechanical testing, and metallography.
• Ability to conduct metallographic examinations and interpret microstructures.
• Knowledge of hardness, microhardness, tensile, and impact testing.
• Understanding of the relationship between metal composition, microstructure, heat-treatment processes, and material properties.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, technical reporting, problem-solving, and computer application skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with steel heat treatment, carburizing, mechanical testing, and metallography.
