Investments Intern - Global Research (Finance)

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States; hybrid arrangement with at least four days per week in the office and one day working from home

Salary: $32.75 per hour

What you will do

• Build three-statement financial models and prepare earnings forecasts.
• Develop relative value frameworks to compare return potential across companies and sectors.
• Analyze and prepare credit recommendation memos for investment opportunities in primary and secondary loan markets.
• Incorporate sustainable research factors into fundamental credit analysis.
• Support engagement reporting and data mapping for sustainable research.
• Work alongside portfolio managers and analysts through mentorship and shadowing opportunities.

Requirements

• Must be a Wallin Education Partners Scholar.
• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Expected graduation in December 2027 or May/June 2028.
• Passion for the investment management industry and commitment to contributing to a successful team.
• Must have valid U.S. work authorization that does not now or in the future require employment visa sponsorship.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, presentation, organization, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Programming knowledge in R, Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
• High self-motivation, integrity, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
