Summer 2027 Intern - Investments - Municipal Bonds

Location: Hybrid internship at the hirify.global CityLine campus in Richardson, Texas, within the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area; combination of in-office and work-from-home arrangements based on internship and business requirements.

Salary: $33.00/hour based on a 38.75-hour work week, plus a $2,000 stipend payable upon the start of the internship.

What you will do

• Perform credit analysis on existing portfolio holdings and potential new municipal bond investments.
• Evaluate the economic, demographic, and financial characteristics of issuers, including governments, school districts, utility systems, universities, and toll roads.
• Research trends and developments across municipal market sectors.
• Develop written reports and oral presentations with analytical conclusions and investment recommendations.
• Present recommendations to senior leaders and experienced investment professionals in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Current graduate student who will have completed the first year of graduate studies by the start of the summer internship.
• Master of Public Policy, Master of Public Administration, Master of Business Administration, or Master of Finance studies are preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.
• Strong analytical, written, verbal communication, collaboration, research, and presentation skills.
• Initiative, intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, self-direction, and commitment to continuous learning.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Coursework in state and local tax policy, economics, statistics, fixed income investments, or state and local governmental accounting.
