Senior Facilities Manager - DPF (Biotech)

Location: Initially remote while the site is under construction; eventually fully onsite in Houston, Texas. Travel is approximately 25% during the first year and up to 10% longer term.

What you will do

• Manage facility infrastructure, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems, and GMP utilities at a Designated Pathogen Free facility.
• Provide breakdown support, inspections, service coordination, and 24-hour on-call coverage to maintain safe and uninterrupted operations.
• Use a CMMS to plan and complete preventive and corrective maintenance and manage spare parts.
• Manage maintenance and service contracts, including RFPs, negotiations, compliance monitoring, and dispute resolution.
• Develop SOPs and maintain operating manuals, drawings, vendor documents, and facility records.
• Support manufacturing and change management initiatives, utilities upgrades, energy and environmental improvements, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, with 14+ years of maintenance or facilities experience; the experience requirement may be reduced with an associate or bachelor's degree.
• Experience with GMPs, OSHA safety requirements, internal safety procedures, and operation of a biopharmaceutical manufacturing plant.
• Strong organizational, systems implementation, computer, and spreadsheet skills.
• Experience with facilities management programs and CMMS.
• Must not have any other interaction with pigs outside of the company.
• Willingness to work onsite in Houston after construction is completed and to provide required travel and on-call coverage.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor's degree in facilities or maintenance management, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Pharmaceutical or biotech facilities experience, licensed trade experience, or industrial and manufacturing maintenance management experience.
• Journeyman electrician license.
• Root cause analysis, CAPA, and contract negotiation experience.
