Facilities Manager (Industrial Real Estate)

Location: Remote position with on-site inspections and travel between vacant industrial building locations in California, USA.

Salary: $80,750–$95,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, and fire suppression systems.
• Establish building inspection programs, perform site inspections, document deficiencies, and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Manage reactive maintenance, emergency repairs, troubleshooting, and remediation work across vacant industrial properties.
• Review leases and coordinate with leasing and legal teams on maintenance, repair, CAM, tenant improvement, and property-condition obligations.
• Manage vendors, contractors, service-level agreements, maintenance budgets, expenses, invoices, and financial reporting.
• Maintain maintenance records and report building conditions, risks, and remediation progress to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of facility management experience, preferably in industrial or commercial real estate.
• Strong knowledge of building systems and preventative maintenance techniques.
• Experience developing inspection programs and managing reactive maintenance and repairs.
• Experience with facility management software and work order management systems.
• Ability to conduct on-site inspections, walk long distances, climb ladders, and carry tools and equipment.
