Information Security Analyst I (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Investigate and respond to cybersecurity alerts using knowledge of business and IT systems.
• Support IT Security Analysts through a rotational 24/7 coverage schedule.
• Analyze logging, intrusion detection, and malware detection reports under supervision.
• Perform and document compliance monitoring, vulnerability detection, and alert investigation processes.
• Perform application and enterprise vulnerability and penetration testing tasks.
• Monitor cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, regulatory standards, and industry developments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in IT Security or a related field, or 2+ years of experience in IT Operations or Information Security.
• Knowledge of at least two areas including IDS/IPS, web proxy, SIEM, forensics, automation technologies, vulnerability scanning, configuration monitoring, or endpoint detection and response.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications.

Nice to have

• CISSP certification or the ability to obtain it within 12 months.
• A+, Security+, or GSEC certification.
