TL;DR
Associate SOC Engineer (Cybersecurity): Supporting managed security services through health checks, ticket handling, troubleshooting, reporting, and configuration of enterprise security products with an accent on SIEM, endpoint security, networking, and customer support. Focus on responding to client system issues, configuring security technologies, developing reporting and knowledge-base content, and escalating incidents across support tiers.
Location: Remote, USA; Leawood, Kansas. Third shift, working overnight Sunday–Wednesday.

What you will do
- Respond to Cyber Operations client systems, own configuration issues, and track them through resolution.
- Perform MSS health checks, ticket acknowledgment and assignment, basic troubleshooting, reporting, and escalation support.
- Advise technical and non-technical users on SIEM and enterprise security products.
- Provide remote consulting and configure security software and appliance-based products in large enterprise environments.
- Develop and maintain knowledge-base content, reporting, and security configuration guidance.
- Collaborate with higher-tier engineers, Service Delivery, customers, and partners, including mentoring Associate Engineers and transferring knowledge to clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, security, or networking, or an associate degree with equivalent experience.
- 2–4 years of experience in the relevant discipline.
- Practical knowledge of TCP/IP networking, network protocols, and the OSI model, with professional network architecture experience.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and enterprise applications including DNS, SMTP, IIS, Apache, SharePoint, Active Directory, LDAP, SQL, and patch management.
- Experience with ticketing and knowledge-base systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Confluence, plus customer support and strong written and verbal communication.
- Experience with network security or endpoint products such as SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, or Cortex XDR.
Nice to have
- General IT and security knowledge, network troubleshooting, and cloud certification.
- CCNA, Security+, Network+, MCSE, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, or Splunk certifications or experience.
- Willingness to develop knowledge in additional subject areas.
