Kitchen Manager

What you will do

• Lead daily kitchen operations, food preparation, service, and dish presentation.
• Maintain consistent food quality, portion control, waste management, and menu updates.
• Recruit, train, motivate, schedule, and manage kitchen staff.
• Ensure compliance with UK food hygiene and health and safety legislation, HACCP procedures, allergen controls, and food labelling requirements.
• Manage ordering, stock rotation, suppliers, stock takes, gross profit margins, labour percentages, and kitchen costs.
• Coordinate communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams while supporting busy services.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef, or Senior Sous Chef.
• Strong knowledge of kitchen operations in a busy hospitality environment.
• Leadership, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of food safety, allergens, and HACCP procedures.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Availability for 40 hours per week, working 5 days over 7 across shifts from 06:00 to 23:00, including weekends and bank holidays.
