PKI Service Desk Technician (Cybersecurity)

Location: Sierra Vista, Arizona, USA; non-remote position at Fort Huachuca. Mid shift: Sunday–Wednesday, 10:00 PM–8:00 AM. Initial training is provided for two weeks on the day shift.

What you will do

• Provide Tier I and Tier II support for PKI incidents, service requests, certificate issues, authentication, and secure access problems.
• Issue, renew, revoke, suspend, recover, and maintain digital certificates, CACs, smart cards, and network tokens.
• Support SSL/TLS certificate requests, installation, renewal, validation, and troubleshooting across servers, applications, and network devices.
• Manage privileged accounts and monitor PKI infrastructure for availability, performance, security, and compliance.
• Review logs, alerts, audit records, certificate inventories, and system configurations to identify and resolve operational or security issues.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, server, and application teams on maintenance, upgrades, deployments, change implementation, and escalations.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.
• Onsite work at Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista, Arizona is required.
• IAT Level II certification or higher under DoD 8570/8140, such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
• At least two years of experience supporting enterprise IT systems or equivalent relevant technical experience.
• Experience with PKI environments, certificate and authentication troubleshooting, encryption, access management, and PKI system monitoring.
• Current Computing Environment certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience in DoD or other regulated government environments.
• Experience supporting mission-critical systems, senior leaders, or VIP users.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
