Associate Security Specialist (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Support Virginia DoD collateral, SCI, and DoD SAP security programs across physical, personnel, program, document control, classification, and security awareness functions.
• Maintain personnel clearance, access, prescreening, and document control databases.
• Perform visitor verification and manage records for visit requests, investigations, annual training, and visitor logs.
• Coordinate with Corporate Security, IT, Operations, program staff, vendors, government personnel, and customers.
• Coordinate security logistics for customer engagements and onsite meetings.
• Communicate with internal and external contacts in person, in writing, and by phone.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance and required accesses.
• College or university degree typically required.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience typically required.
• Knowledge and experience in the security discipline, with the ability to analyze solutions using standard procedures.
• Regular Monday–Friday business hours are required, with occasional schedule extensions based on customer or company needs.

Nice to have

• Active security clearance.
• Knowledge of security management policies, clearance processing, and document control regulations.
• Familiarity with EQIP, DISS, NBIS, or similar industry applications.
• Familiarity with personnel, physical, AIS, DoD, and Intelligence Community security requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a high level of professionalism.
