AI Engineer

Location: Remote from Türkiye, with at least 5 hours of overlap with PST timezone (7am–5pm)

What you will do

• Own the evaluation layer for production agents, including harnesses, metrics, golden datasets, regression gates, and human-in-the-loop review.
• Architect and implement agent workflows with LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent frameworks, including memory, routing, tool registries, and recovery paths.
• Take AI systems from experimentation through production, covering tracing, monitoring, latency, cost-per-task budgeting, and on-call operations.
• Diagnose hallucinations, tool misuse, retrieval misses, and silent degradation, converting production failures into durable fixes and tests.
• Develop retrieval and execution systems that combine RAG, graph-based retrieval, external integrations, and human checkpoints.
• Set technical standards, review designs, communicate tradeoffs, and collaborate with founding and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 4+ years of production software engineering experience with APIs, services, data infrastructure, tests, CI/CD, and on-call responsibility.
• 2+ years building LLM or agent systems used by real users in production.
• Hands-on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or equivalent agent and orchestration frameworks.
• Ability to design reproducible evaluations for multi-step agents and explain technical decisions clearly.
• Strong ownership, pragmatic decision-making, and comfort working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments.
• Availability to work remotely from Türkiye with at least 5 hours of PST overlap is required.

Nice to have

• Deep experience with RAG, hybrid and graph retrieval, chunking, embeddings, ranking, and grounding.
• Experience with Langfuse, OpenTelemetry, or equivalent observability tools for LLM systems.
• Experience with MCP, tool-calling frameworks, structured output, or constrained decoding.
• Early-stage startup or high-growth company experience.
