Trading Operations Associate (Algorithmic Trading)

Location: New York, with hybrid working opportunities

Salary: $120,000–$200,000 annual base salary, plus eligible bonuses

Quantitative trading firm operating a global high-performance platform with independent trading teams and electronic trading infrastructure.

What you will do

• Operate and supervise automated trading strategies in collaboration with quantitative traders and software developers.
• Monitor production trading for risk and compliance issues and respond to unusual behavior or market conditions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to day-to-day trading activities.
• Develop scripts and applications to automate and facilitate trading systems.
• Analyze production trades and market data to identify improvements to trading strategies.
• Provide early-morning trading and production support aligned with relevant market hours.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related technical or quantitative field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to investigate issues and draw actionable conclusions.
• Good understanding of futures markets, trading venues, market structure, and risk management.
• Good understanding of algorithmic trading technology and architecture, including Unix/Linux environments and monitoring applications.
• Experience with Python and fluency in English.
• Ability to work effectively on complex tasks, take initiative, and assume increasing responsibility.
