Branch Manager (Banking)

Salary: $72,200–$120,300 annual

What you will do

• Manage branch activities, profitability, sales, business development, transactions, servicing, and digital engagement.
• Lead, coach, and develop branch staff, including hiring, performance management, promotions, and staffing decisions.
• Identify retail and business banking needs and grow customer relationships through proactive outreach and community engagement.
• Process business banking loan requests up to $250,000 and recommend bundled products and services.
• Resolve complex account servicing and error issues while taking ownership through final resolution.
• Maintain operational, security, compliance, fraud-prevention, audit, and regulatory controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• At least three years of sales experience and two years of managerial experience or demonstrated leadership ability.
• Strong knowledge of business banking products, services, and client relationship management.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office, internet, and email.
• M&T Way Certification and Precision Leadership Certification.
• Business Banking Specialist qualification within 18 months of hire; insurance licensing may be required within 18 months, with training provided.
