Security Team Lead (MSP)

Location: Lakewood, New Jersey; hybrid with the ability to work full-time on-site at the office

What you will do

• Provide hands-on technical direction and support to Security Analysts during incidents and investigations.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex security incidents and high-risk situations.
• Own compliance initiatives covering HIPAA, SOC 2, cyber insurance requirements, audits, documentation, and remediation tracking.
• Conduct security assessments and advise clients on risk reduction, cybersecurity best practices, compliance, and security strategy.
• Manage and optimize Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Huntress, email security, vulnerability management, and related platforms.
• Lead root cause analysis, process improvement, service development, reporting, and technical mentoring for Security Analysts.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in an MSP, MSSP, healthcare, regulated industry, or similar environment.
• Direct experience supporting compliance programs such as HIPAA, SOC 2, or cyber insurance requirements, including audits, evidence gathering, and remediation.
• Strong technical depth in Microsoft security technologies, identity management, endpoint security, and incident response.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and security reviews, with strong troubleshooting, analytical, decision-making, and documentation skills.
• Ability to explain security and compliance concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Willingness and ability to work full-time on-site at the Lakewood, New Jersey office.
