Analytics Engineer (EdTech)

Location: Amsterdam, with 2 days per week from the office

hirify.global is an Amsterdam-based EdTech company building tools for active teaching and assessment in higher education, used by more than 200 universities in 28 countries.

What you will do

• Own and extend the datalake, dashboards, conversational analytics, data API, and embedded product analytics.
• Take business data needs from ingestion through the datalake to actionable analysis and decision-making.
• Build transformation models with SQL and dbt, and develop Python extraction jobs and API services.
• Improve model performance, data quality, and technical debt across the data stack.
• Turn data into conclusions that product and go-to-market teams can act on, and present the findings.
• Work on larger data-stack initiatives and review analytics engineering work.

Requirements

• Production experience writing and maintaining Python and complex SQL used by other people.
• Experience debugging production data work and fixing underlying issues.
• Comfort with Git and standard version control workflows.
• Ability to use AI development tools critically and verify generated output.
• Resourcefulness, root-cause analysis, and the ability to translate business questions into technical solutions.
• Availability for 32–40 hours per week and 2 days per week onsite in Amsterdam.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt, DuckDB, FastAPI, Mixpanel, Azure, or Terraform.
