Data Engineer - Cloud & SaaS Integrations (Remote Armenia)

Location: Remote EMEA; full-time employment available in the UK, Ireland, Estonia, the Netherlands, Sweden and Israel; contractor arrangements available in Eastern Europe and Portugal

What you will do

• Build and maintain integrations with third-party billing and usage APIs to expand vendor coverage.
• Use AI throughout the engineering workflow, including code exploration, prototyping, debugging, testing and documentation.
• Own data correctness and completeness by addressing duplication, gaps, race conditions, marketplace spend and negotiated pricing.
• Design normalized data models for consistent units, currencies, time granularity, taxonomies and cost categories.
• Own orchestration, scheduling and safe self-service backfills for ingestion pipelines.
• Collaborate with product, support and engineering teams to identify data gaps and propose improvements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or a data-heavy backend role, including production ownership of critical pipelines.
• Strong SQL and Python skills, or fluency in another language used for data work.
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines and an orchestration framework such as Dagster, Airflow, Prefect or dbt.
• Experience with BigQuery, ClickHouse, Snowflake, Redshift or a similar cloud data warehouse.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling pagination, rate limits, partial failures, late-arriving data and API inconsistencies.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a self-organized and goal-oriented working style.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud or SaaS billing data, marketplace billing or the FOCUS specification.
• Familiarity with Go and cloud services.
• Experience with financial or audit-grade data correctness, such as invoicing, metering or revenue reconciliation.
• Exposure to FinOps or cloud financial management products.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
