Mobile Software Engineer (Android) - Olo App

Location: Remote within Northern Ireland; Belfast hub

What you will do

• Develop and maintain native Android features for the hirify.global app using Kotlin.
• Own small-to-medium features and contribute to moderately complex technical tasks.
• Write maintainable code, participate in peer reviews, and uphold engineering standards.
• Collaborate with Product and stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver aligned solutions.
• Debug issues, support deployments and monitoring, and help maintain reliable distributed systems.
• Participate in team ceremonies, on-call duties, and continuous improvement of testing and deployment practices.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of software engineering experience focused on native mobile development.
• Proficiency in native Android development with Kotlin and experience implementing moderately complex features and algorithms.
• Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
• Ability to write and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and technical communication skills.
