What you will do

• Monitor company drivers’ compliance with tachograph rules, driver-hour requirements, vehicle checks, and health and safety procedures.
• Plan routes with regard to vehicle weights and applicable UK transport requirements.
• Allocate jobs to drivers using the company planning system and assign suitable vehicles to new drivers.
• Handle telephone queries and provide information to supervisors and colleagues by phone, email, and in person.
• Manage driver administration, including delivery notes, goods-received documentation, traffic offences, and salary deduction forms.
• Support the Transport Manager during infringement meetings and maintain effective working relationships.

Requirements

• Experience in transport planning.
• Knowledge of UK traffic laws, driver hours, tachograph rules, and vehicle weights.
• Awareness of health and safety requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent computer literacy.
• Confidence communicating by telephone, face to face, and email.
• Self-motivated, flexible, hardworking, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
