Commercial Portfolio Analyst - Energy

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working with two days per week in the Farringdon office required

What you will do

• Build and maintain Smart Demand planning models by calibrating customer demand data against third-party installer capacity.
• Model and forecast the energy metering portfolio, including scenario and sensitivity analysis.
• Analyze P&L drivers, margins, and commercial risks across the metering portfolio.
• Evaluate commercial trade-offs in supplier relationships and provide evidence for contract negotiations.
• Turn ad-hoc analytical requests into strategic insights for the energy team roadmap.
• Present data-driven recommendations to senior leaders and collaborate with external metering partners.

Requirements

• 2–3 years of commercial or analytical experience in business analytics, commercial finance, supply chain, or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills, including complex logic and sensitivity tables.
• Ability to connect data analysis with commercial P&L drivers, margins, and business decisions.
• Strong numerical reasoning and the ability to investigate anomalies, trends, and inefficiencies.
• Ability to explain complex operational scenarios through clear, actionable insights.
• Availability to work two days per week from the Farringdon office in London.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in the energy sector.
• Experience with SQL or Python, or an interest in developing these skills.
• STEM or numerical degree.
