Head of Compliance - Guernsey

What you will do

• Act as Compliance Officer, MLCO, and MLRO for the Guernsey operations and selected life insurance client companies.
• Lead the design and monitoring of the annual Compliance Monitoring Program and report quarterly on progress.
• Monitor compliance systems, oversee periodic checks and audits, and maintain the risk management and control environment.
• Report to the Board on compliance with GFSC regulatory requirements and serve as the primary contact for the GFSC.
• Review policies and procedures, advise on regulatory changes, and coordinate Risk & Compliance Committee meetings.
• Coordinate action plans related to GFSC risk assessments, compliance execution, and risk and compliance reporting.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, particularly GFSC requirements, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
• Experience designing and monitoring compliance programs, conducting audits, and identifying compliance risks.
• Strong organisational, analytical, communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
• Experience reviewing and developing policies and procedures aligned with changing regulatory standards.
• Ability to translate changes in laws, regulations, and industry practices into practical guidance.
• High integrity, discretion, and commitment to confidentiality.
