What you will do
- Lead the long-term vision, strategic plan, and business development strategy for Robson Square.
- Manage the facility as a self-funding unit, including budgeting, forecasting, financial tracking, and expansion of revenue sources.
- Oversee facility operations, client services, educational programming, events, infrastructure, security, and service quality.
- Build relationships with academic units, tenants, community partners, clients, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
- Lead facilities planning, development, and expansion projects while maintaining a high-quality learning environment.
- Supervise, coach, and develop management and unionized staff and establish operational performance standards.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and at least ten years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in business management, hospitality, event planning, or a related leadership role.
- Experience with budget management, business analysis, forecasting, reporting, and project management.
- Strong written and oral communication, relationship management, negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complexity and risk, motivate employees, and make principled decisions.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, respectful leadership, and effective customer service.
Nice to have
- Graduate degree in a relevant discipline.
- Degree or certificate in business, event management, or project management.
- Experience working in an academic setting.
