Pipe Insulator (Industrial Refrigeration)

Location: Las Vegas, Nevada, USA; field work on active construction sites with extensive travel required, including 10-day tours and 10–12-hour shifts.

Salary: $20–30 per hour

Provides engineered industrial refrigeration and process-cooling solutions using natural refrigerants such as ammonia and CO₂, with in-house engineering, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, service, and aftermarket support.

What you will do

• Measure, cut, and install pipe insulation for industrial piping systems.
• Apply vapor barriers and vapor dams, then secure aluminum or PVC jacketing.
• Fabricate insulation kits for valves, fittings, and rotating equipment.
• Operate bending brakes, band saws, banding tools, and other hand and power tools.
• Follow installation drawings, technical specifications, and site safety requirements.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of industrial pipe insulation experience.
• Proficiency with aluminum and/or PVC jacketing and understanding of insulation and moisture-barrier systems.
• Ability to read insulation schematics and technical documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in heat, cold, dust, and noise while wearing full PPE.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally, remain on foot for most of the shift, and perform repetitive physical work.

Nice to have

• Experience fabricating or modifying insulation blankets and jackets.
• Familiarity with industry-standard insulation craftsmanship practices.
