Engineering Manager, FPGA Applications Engineering (FPGA/Embedded Systems): Leading a Penang-based applications engineering team that develops technical collateral, validates FPGA product releases, creates reference designs, and resolves complex customer issues with an accent on embedded processors, configuration, and security features. Focus on coaching engineers, driving product readiness, performing root cause analysis, and influencing future FPGA product development.
Location: Penang, Malaysia; onsite role

What you will do
- Lead, coach, and develop applications engineers in Penang.
- Set team objectives, priorities, and execution plans while recruiting and retaining engineering talent.
- Guide application notes, user guides, tutorials, design examples, demonstrations, and training materials.
- Drive product readiness and validate software and hardware releases against customer requirements.
- Resolve complex customer issues involving embedded processors, device configuration, boot flows, and system security.
- Partner with architecture and development engineering teams on product requirements, quality improvements, and customer enablement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in applications engineering, embedded systems, FPGA development, software engineering, system architecture, or related fields.
- 3+ years of experience leading global teams, projects, or technical organizations.
- Experience with ARM-based embedded systems, Linux, FPGA technologies, design flows, or development tools is preferred.
- Knowledge of FPGA configuration, boot software such as U-Boot or ATF, and device security technologies is preferred.
- Experience with board bring-up, hardware debugging, system validation, and customer-facing technical documentation is preferred.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Post-Quantum Cryptography concepts and implementation.
- Experience with authentication, encryption, key management, secure boot, or secure manufacturing.
