Senior Equipment Engineer (AI/Automation)

Location: Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia; onsite at the Sarawak Kuching Office

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, install, qualify, modify, and continuously improve manufacturing equipment.
• Develop and implement equipment automation and upgrades using AI and current automation technologies.
• Prepare and maintain electrical drawings, wiring layouts, control systems, and software debugging solutions.
• Integrate equipment modules and systems, and design or modify mechanical and electrical components.
• Monitor and optimize process parameters, conduct equipment characterization and capability studies, and support manufacturing capability development.
• Develop maintenance procedures, SOPs, safety documentation, technician training, and predictive maintenance improvements while collaborating with manufacturing, automation, process teams, and suppliers.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Materials Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates with relevant engineering qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience with equipment, automation, electrical or mechanical systems, or process equipment.
• Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills related to surface finishing and polishing processes.
• Ability to work onsite in Kuching, Malaysia.

Nice to have

• Experience or strong interest in CMP, polishing automation, AI-based process control, robotics, and emerging technologies.
