Senior Equipment Engineer (AI)

Location: Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia; onsite at the Sarawak Kuching Office

What you will do

• Troubleshoot, install, qualify, modify, and continuously improve manufacturing equipment.
• Design and integrate mechanical, electrical, software, AI, and automation solutions for equipment and tooling.
• Prepare electrical drawings, wiring layouts, control systems, and software debugging for cleaning equipment.
• Integrate equipment modules and systems to ensure stable and reliable operation.
• Develop maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, SOP, safety, environmental, and HIRAC documentation.
• Collaborate with process, manufacturing, and automation teams and suppliers to resolve issues and improve equipment capability.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Optical, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates with relevant engineering qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Technical knowledge or hands-on experience with equipment, automation, electrical or mechanical systems, or process equipment.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to develop maintenance procedures, safety standards, technical documentation, and technician training materials.

Nice to have

• Experience or strong interest in automation, AI, robotics, and new technologies.
