Fabric, Materials & Trims Manager (Textile Sourcing): Leading the development and sourcing of fabrics, trims, labels, packaging, and other material components for apparel collections with an accent on textile construction, supplier management, quality, compliance, and sustainability. Focus on managing material development timelines, negotiating costs and lead times, mitigating sourcing risks, and implementing lower-impact material alternatives.

What you will do

  • Lead the development and sourcing of fabrics, trims, labels, packaging, and other material components for apparel collections.
  • Partner with Design and Product Development to align materials with product concepts, performance, quality, cost, and design requirements.
  • Manage seasonal material libraries, PLM documentation, specifications, approvals, and product creation milestones.
  • Build supplier relationships and negotiate costs, lead times, minimum order quantities, and development commitments.
  • Manage material development timelines, samples, testing submissions, and critical paths across product categories.
  • Drive material costing, value engineering, risk mitigation, continuous improvement, and sustainable material initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Management, Material Science, Product Development, or a related field.
  • Several years of experience in fabric, material, trim development, sourcing, or product development within fashion, sportswear, or lifestyle.
  • Strong knowledge of textile construction, fibers, yarns, knitting, weaving, dyeing, printing, washing, and finishing.
  • Experience managing fabric mills, trim suppliers, global sourcing partners, product calendars, and critical paths.
  • Experience with PLM, ERP, and material management systems, plus knowledge of textile testing, compliance, and sustainability certifications.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
