Software Engineer II – Platform Data Reliability & Automation (Go)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and configuration-management automation with Terraform and Ansible.
• Build repeatable deployment and operational automation for NoSQL, streaming, and caching platforms across AWS, GCP, and hybrid environments.
• Improve reliability, availability, scalability, performance, resiliency, service-level indicators, service-level objectives, and error budgets.
• Automate scaling, failover, backup, recovery, upgrades, and routine maintenance for Cassandra, Aerospike, Kafka, MSK, and Redis services.
• Build observability capabilities using metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerts, while participating in incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Write tested Go code, collaborate with engineering, platform, security, and operations teams, and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, database reliability engineering, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or a related field.
• Production experience with Go, including testing, concurrency, error handling, and maintainable code.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or Ansible, Kubernetes, and AWS or GCP managed services.
• Working knowledge of NoSQL, caching, or streaming technologies such as Cassandra, Aerospike, Kafka, AWS MSK, or Redis.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, Linux, networking, storage, troubleshooting, and observability practices, plus strong cross-team communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience applying AI-assisted automation, anomaly detection, automated remediation, or developer-productivity tooling.
