Software Engineer II Platform Data Reliability (Go)

What you will do

• Develop Infrastructure as Code and configuration-management automation with Terraform and Ansible.
• Build reliable deployment, scaling, failover, backup, recovery, upgrade, and maintenance automation for NoSQL, streaming, and caching platforms.
• Improve availability, scalability, performance, resiliency, service-level indicators, objectives, and error budgets.
• Build observability solutions with metrics, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerts.
• Troubleshoot Cassandra, Aerospike, Kafka/MSK, Redis, and related platform services; participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Write tested Go code and collaborate with engineering, platform, security, and operations teams on reliable data services and operational documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, database reliability engineering, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or a related field.
• Production Go development experience, including testing, concurrency, error handling, and maintainability.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or Ansible and experience operating workloads on Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS or GCP and managed services such as MSK, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, or Memorystore.
• Working knowledge of NoSQL, caching, or streaming technologies such as Cassandra, Aerospike, Kafka, or Redis.
• Understanding of distributed systems, Linux, networking, storage, troubleshooting, and observability practices.
