Tech Lead (Go)

Location: Hyderabad, India; working from the Aqua Hyderabad office at least 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday

What you will do

• Lead development of the management console, including background jobs, large-scale data processing, REST APIs, and web-based interfaces.
• Deliver features across the application stack, from SQL queries and business logic to APIs and user interfaces.
• Design and build multi-component distributed systems and microservices with efficient inter-service communication.
• Build and maintain APIs while managing backward-compatibility decisions throughout their lifecycle.
• Develop containerized software supporting customer cloud environments across Linux, Windows, and macOS.

Requirements

• 9+ years of hands-on engineering experience delivering features for large-scale distributed applications.
• Strong programming experience with Go, Node.js, Java, or similar high-level languages; production Go experience is preferred.
• Experience with REST or RPC APIs, microservices, and multi-component systems.
• Deep hands-on experience with relational or NoSQL databases, including complex queries and PostgreSQL performance tuning.
• Production-grade AWS experience is required.
• Hands-on Docker, Kubernetes, and Linux experience is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with GenAI development tools such as Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
• AI-supported observability, predictive alerting, data analysis, root-cause analysis, or AI-assisted CI/CD and operations.
• Experience with Graph Databases, OpenShift, Kafka, or event-driven AWS services.
