Reporting & Budgeting Manager - Technology

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; hybrid work

Salary: $130,000–$150,000 annually if located in Illinois, plus bonus eligibility.

hirify.global LLP is a professional services law firm with a Technology organization supporting firm-wide technology operations and investments.

What you will do

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for the Technology organization.
• Manage financial performance across infrastructure, cloud services, cybersecurity, enterprise applications, and strategic technology initiatives.
• Evaluate technology investments, develop business cases, assess financial risks, and advise on resource allocation.
• Monitor spending against budgets and forecasts, perform variance analysis, and deliver financial reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Vendor Management, and Technology teams on vendor contracts and cost optimization.
• Manage, mentor, and develop professional staff through coaching, training, and performance management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Finance or Accounting.
• At least 6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Technical and analytical skills with a strong understanding of IT cost drivers, including infrastructure, cloud services, software licensing, labor, and project investments.
• Experience with financial presentations, analytical problem-solving, organization, attention to detail, and interpersonal communication.
• Ability to exercise confidentiality, discretion, ownership, and sound judgment.
