TL;DR
Senior Frontend Engineer (Vue/TypeScript): Building and improving scalable, accessible user-facing applications in a fintech environment with an accent on frontend architecture, responsive UI, and automated testing. Focus on designing maintainable Vue applications, making technical decisions, mentoring developers, and improving development efficiency with AI coding tools.
Location: Christchurch, New Zealand; hybrid working arrangement with required travel to the Christchurch office for meetings, collaboration sessions, and events.

What you will do
- Build and maintain scalable frontend applications with Vue 3+ and TypeScript.
- Design frontend architecture and contribute to technical direction and architecture decisions.
- Build responsive and accessible interfaces with Tailwind CSS, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests using Vitest or Jest, and work with modern build tools.
- Conduct code reviews, maintain coding standards, and mentor other developers.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment while using AI coding tools to improve efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of production software development experience.
- Strong experience with Vue 3+, or experience with React or Angular and willingness to switch to Vue.
- Strong TypeScript knowledge, clean-code practices, frontend architecture, and OOP/OOD understanding.
- Experience with Tailwind CSS, responsive web design, HTML5, CSS3, and unit testing with Vitest or Jest.
- Understanding of Vite, Rollup, Webpack, or similar build tools, plus experience working with designers and Agile/Scrum teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; willingness to work in a hybrid arrangement in Christchurch and travel to the office as required.
Nice to have
- Experience with PostCSS, SASS/SCSS, Playwright, Storybook, or other related tools.
- Experience in payments, FX, fintech, or other regulated industries.
