Senior Software Engineer (React Native)

Location: People Before Place Hybrid model; most employees can choose where they work most days. Minimal travel is required.

Minimum base compensation: $85 per hour.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable React Native components and screen flows for iOS and Android.
• Establish front-end architecture, state management, navigation, and shared component libraries.
• Build and maintain REST API and BFF integrations with error handling, caching, and offline-resilient patterns.
• Own mobile testing strategies and CI/CD reliability, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Optimize rendering, memory usage, and application startup performance.
• Lead projects, influence roadmaps, mentor colleagues, and represent the team in client conversations.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of software development experience with a strong focus on React Native.
• Advanced React Native, React, TypeScript, state management, navigation, and mobile architecture experience.
• Working knowledge of iOS and Android fundamentals, including Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java, native modules, and bridge debugging.
• Experience with mobile CI/CD, build signing, device testing, app distribution, Git, automated testing, deep linking, universal links, and app store submissions.
• Knowledge of mobile accessibility standards, including VoiceOver and TalkBack, and responsive layout patterns.
• Employment visas are not sponsored; candidates with an existing employment visa must have at least three years of validity from the application date.

Nice to have

• Experience with Expo, EAS, TanStack Query, feature flagging, progressive rollouts, analytics SDKs, GraphQL, BFF patterns, and shared design systems.
• Degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
