Azure Cloud Architect (Azure)

Location: Houston, Texas, United States; 5 days onsite

What you will do

• Design and implement Azure Greenfield platforms using Microsoft Well-Architected Framework principles and best practices.
• Develop reusable Azure reference architectures, blueprints, archetypes, and deployment patterns.
• Design and optimize landing zones, platform services, governance frameworks, technical controls, and guardrails.
• Evaluate Azure services for Greenfield adoption and conduct architecture reviews for new workloads and cloud migrations.
• Develop, test, and document disaster recovery and business continuity plans with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Security, Identity Management, Platform Engineering, and Governance teams.

Requirements

• Azure cloud architecture experience is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Azure networking, including Hub-and-Spoke deployments with Azure Virtual WAN.
• Experience designing highly available, secure, and scalable cloud solutions.
• Knowledge of GuardRight and ShiftLeft practices.
• Basic knowledge of infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Experience with Azure CLI, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, and Wiz.

Nice to have

• Performance monitoring experience with AWS CloudWatch or Azure Cloud Monitor.
• Cloud testing experience.
