What you will do

• Design and develop software for robotic-assisted surgery system components.
• Define, analyze, and allocate system software requirements and evaluate design alternatives.
• Create and document software architecture and detailed software designs.
• Implement source code in compliance with applicable coding standards and resolve medical-device software defects.
• Conduct and support unit, integration, verification, clinical, and benchtop testing.
• Participate in risk analysis, technical reviews, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
• 5–10+ years of experience with software systems.
• Strong problem-solving and execution skills.
• Ability to work across software, mechanical, and electrical engineering disciplines and with external subject-matter experts.
• Ability to take ownership of projects, achieve milestones, and help direct less experienced engineers.

Nice to have

• Experience in robotics engineering.
• Experience in medical devices or another regulated industry.
• Knowledge of FDA Quality System and Design processes.
