Technical Staff Engineer (Information Security Systems)

Location: Boulder, Colorado, United States; occasional travel to client sites in other states

Salary: $70,304–$205,000 annual base salary

What you will do

• Implement and sustain continuous monitoring for common and system-specific cybersecurity controls.
• Perform vulnerability scanning, patch-compliance reviews, SIEM log analysis, and technical security assessments.
• Correlate monitoring results, assess control effectiveness, prioritize risk, and lead remediation with system and network teams.
• Engineer and integrate security controls into virtualized platforms, shared storage, and mission-network architectures.
• Translate NIST and CNSS controls into secure technical designs and implementations.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for Linux and Windows servers and endpoints, Cisco network devices, and enterprise file systems.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
• US citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience with expertise in NIST RMF and related standards.
• Experience supporting Linux and Windows systems, Cisco network devices, enterprise storage, and endpoint compliance.
• Hands-on experience with Tenable/ACAS, Splunk/ELK, and HBSS/ESS.
