Information Systems Security Engineer

What you will do

• Protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of classified information systems and networks.
• Conduct risk, vulnerability, security, and reliability assessments for classified systems.
• Support Air Force, Department of Defense, and public law compliance across enterprise business solutions and ICBM weapon system programs.
• Apply the Risk Management Framework lifecycle throughout DoD acquisition program phases.
• Document audits, evaluations, risk assessments, and Body of Evidence artifacts.
• Advise stakeholders on cybersecurity policies, certification, accreditation, and the secure processing, storage, transmission, and access of information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related engineering field with at least 8 years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II, IAM Level I, or higher certification required on the hire date.
• Current residence in the United States is required.
• Experience with information security, classified systems, vulnerability assessment, and security risk analysis.
• Ability to support security programs, policies, procedures, audits, certification, and accreditation.

Nice to have

• Experience leading large-scale security projects and high-severity incident response.
• Experience with secure network architecture, Zero Trust, and cloud security frameworks including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, CMMC, or SOC 2 frameworks and STRIDE or PASTA threat modeling.
• Expertise with SIEM, EDR/XDR, firewalls, vulnerability scanners, OAuth, SAML, MFA, SAST, DAST, and CI/CD security.
• Ability to translate business requirements into security roadmaps and communicate technical risks to executives.
