Head of Security (Fintech)

Building payments infrastructure for Latin America with security integrated into the product.

What you will do

• Own the security strategy, roadmap, priorities, and overall security posture across infrastructure, engineering, compliance, and operations.
• Lead cloud, application, infrastructure, IAM, secrets management, and production access security.
• Embed security into engineering through DevSecOps, CI/CD controls, automated testing, scanning, and remediation.
• Manage vulnerability detection, remediation, validation, incident response, investigations, containment, and post-incident improvements.
• Own PCI DSS and other security compliance programs, third-party reviews, vendor assessments, penetration testing, metrics, dashboards, and leadership reporting.
• Build the security team, operating model, and automated and AI-assisted workflows for monitoring, evidence collection, remediation, and analysis.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in AWS security, IAM, networking, secrets management, cloud architecture, and production systems.
• Strong experience with DevSecOps, application security, infrastructure security, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with PCI DSS, security compliance, incident response, threat modeling, security architecture, and risk management.
• Ability to combine technical depth with security strategy, prioritization, and execution.
• Experience working directly with engineering teams and senior leadership.
• Advanced use of AI for security analysis, automation, monitoring, and engineering productivity.
